Apple unveils new MacBook Pro featuring M3 chips and Up to 16-Inch Screens Starting at Rs. 1,69,900
Apple debuted its newest MacBook Pro models with the M3 family of processors, the company's newest processor lineup, on Tuesday. With their Liquid Retina XDR screens, the laptops are supposed to have a battery life of up to 22 hours. Apple is also highlighting the improved performance of the recently released M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips. These chips, which are made utilizing TSMC's 3nm process technology, support hardware-accelerated ray tracing and come equipped with Dynamic Caching, a new memory feature that enhances GPU performance when running intensive apps and games.
MacBook Pro (2023) price and availability in India:
The base model of Apple's new M3 MacBook Pro, which has a 14-inch display and an M3 chip, costs Rs. 1,69,900. The price of the 14-inch variant with an M3 Pro chip starts at Rs. 1,99,900. Conversely, the entry-level MacBook Pro model featuring a 16-inch display is priced at Rs. 2,49,900. Space Black and Silver are the available color options for all three models.
Preorders for the new MacBook Pro models with M3 chips are being accepted in 27 countries, including India. On November 7, the Apple Store and Apple Authorized Resellers will start selling them.
MacBook Pro (2023) features and specifications:
The M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chipset, which are new to Apple, power all of the company's MacBook Pro models. Up to 128GB of RAM can be installed on the company's top-tier M3 Max chip, which is the maximum RAM capacity available for laptops to date. In the meantime, models with M3 and M3 Pro chips have RAM options of up to 24GB and 36GB, respectively.
These are the second batch of MacBook Pro models that Apple has released this year; in January, the company introduced new models with M2 processors. The new chips have up to 16 CPU cores, up to 40 GPU cores, and up to 16 Neural Engine cores. They are built on TSMC's 3nm process technology. There are laptops with SSD storage capacities of up to 1TB available. According to Apple, the new M3 Pro chip outperforms the previous generation of MacBook Pro models with Intel Core i7 CPUs by up to 40 times and by up to 11 times, respectively.
Apple has emphasized the GPU improvements on the new 3nm chips, such as hardware-accelerated ray tracing and a new Dynamic Caching feature that enables the GPU on the M3 chip to allocate a precise amount of local memory to optimize memory usage for tasks, even though the new M3 lineup offers only slight CPU improvements over the previous generation.
The new MacBook Pro models from Apple come with 14- and 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR (3,024x1,964 pixel) displays that have a peak brightness of 1600 nits (HDR content) and 600 nits (SDR content) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It features a backlit keyboard that accepts Touch ID for fingerprint identification.
Cheers!!!
